Here is a list of Frequently Asked Questions
A) do you use some kind of softeware packages to create your PhotoTransformations?.
No we do not. We enjoy producing hand crafted works of art for our clients. There is no software package that could possibly produce the diverse range of PhotoTransformations that we offer to our clients.
We also love the rich detail we produce in all our PhotoTransformations and it is only through analysing and customising the work as we produce it that we are able to provide our clients with this level of customised detail. This is something we are proud of.
If you think they look good on the web, come down to our Beaufort Street location and see them in person. We think you will be very impressed!
B) do i have to pay in full up front?
Yes. The reason lies in the fact that we hand-craft our pieces for you. Our pieces can take several hours to produce a single Artwork ready for the "web proof/approval stage" and it is this time that we request payment for at the start. If we produced our PhotoTransformations by a quick automated process we would not ask for a payment up front. Please note that we do not print a thing untill you are comletely satified with the web proof.
C) How do i know if my picture is good enough for the PhotoTransformation.
OK we get asked this a lot. The biggest problem we encounter is the submission of files that have been shrunk to make them easy to transfer on the web. Good for Web - Bad for Us! We require files that are typically over 1 megabyte(1MB) or 1000 kilobytes(1000KB) in size.
You can check this.
Just go to where your file is in your computor and "right-click" while hovering your cursor over the file. A menu box should pop up and at the very bottom it should say "Properties". Just click on the "Properties" option and a new box should pop up that give you a host of information on the file.
about midway on the page , under location, it should give you the size in Kilobytes or KB. Greater than 1000KB is good and the more the better. Please remember the picture must be in focus or else it is just a big blurry picture and it is probably not usable.
In general, Jpeg files are half the camera megapixel number in Megabytes. So if you have a 6 megapixel camera - your files should be about 3 Megabytes or 3000 kilibyte and plent big enough. Alway remember to make a copy of a file if you are going to shrink it and send over the net otherwise you will destroy the original file and it can never be restored! D) Do your canvas prints come with UV protective coatings included in the price?
Yes Always
E) Do your canvas prints come with hanging chord and hardware
Yes Always in print 450x600 and above. Prints below this are so small that people prefer to hang them directly on the mounting screw
F) I have been to another place where they had someone that I could pay to do additional processing on the image files like add saturation or take out imperfections and scratches.
We do that for you for free. Please see our PhotoMakeover page. If the work is extensive we can provide you with a reasonable quotation.
